Alpine Farm

Alpine Farms is one of Common Sense’s Conservation’s finest eco farms in Alabama. This 30 acre farm is located near Glover’s Ferry in northeast Talladega County near Birmingham. The property features a four stall hybrid “green” barn with off-grid living quarters above. Alpine Farm features rolling fenced pastureland and a stocked pond. The farm’s raised bed gardens feature planted crops and a eco-friendly water reclamation system for irrigation. The farm is considered a turn-key operation - just move in and enjoy a peaceful country lifestyle without all the backbreaking work of a complicated farm.

One of the unique features of the Common Sense Conservation eco farm is its hybrid “Green Barn”. This barn/living space features a one bedroom, one bath living space with a combination kitchen and living area located above a graciously appointed 4 stall barn and airconditioned office/work room. The green barn is designed with the most energy efficient fixtures and materials. The green barn features solar or wind powered alternative energy, a water reclamation system for irrigation and the latest features in energy efficiency. The upstairs living space features an upstairs open air deck which overlooks the farm’s stocked fish pond and rolling pasture.
